Can a person pray longer than 10 seconds before a meal? How about one hour or even eight? With a growth mindset, this command to pray without ceasing will be seen as a challenge, and challenges can be fun.
” … be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
ROMANS 12:2 (KJV)
Renew your mind by practicing remaining in constant prayer. Failure to do so allows room in your mind to think about topics that could cause you to worry, stress, become anxious, angry, afraid and/or doubtful. All of which are a waste of time. You’re on a mission. Allow yourself to be faithful to God by following his instruction.
“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
EPHESIANS 5:16 (KJV)
Stop reflecting on past arguments and how you could have won them. Abstain from imagining carnal activities. Desist dwelling on doubt. Instead, exercise your mind. You’ve seen who you can turn yourself into. Now let yourself see who God can transform you into. What you think about will be what you are lead toward. Meditate on the word below. Focus your thoughts on these sayings. Perhaps you too will make it out of the dark and into the light.
“In every thing give thanks: …”
1 THESSALONIANS 5:18 (KJV)
“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”
EPHESIANS 5:19 (KJV)
confessing your faults
telling the LORD how amazing He is
making requests
talking to the LORD in regard to others you care about.
